Metal twist drill bit, black-and-gold, reduced (turned) shank, made of high-speed steel 4341 HSS, coated with TiN (titanium nitride). The drill complies with the DIN 338 standard. Cylindrical, turned shank allows using the drill with a larger diameter than the drill-chuck capacity.

The drill is intended for drilling through and blind holes. It has two central cutting edges ground at 135° and flutes that effectively evacuate chips upward from the hole.

Drills coated with a TiN layer are intended especially for machining hard-to-cut materials. The TiN coating results in a increase in drill hardness, allows accelerating the cutting process and achieves better quality of the machined parts. The titanium nitride layer, by reducing friction, reduces wear of the cutting edge and thereby extends the drill life.

The drill is packed in a plastic container with a hole for hanging on a hook.
