Drills coated with a TiN layer are intended especially for machining hard-to-cut materials. The use of a TiN coating results in a greater hardness of the drills, allows speeding up the cutting process and enables achieving better quality of the machined parts. The titanium nitride layer, by reducing friction, reduces wear on the cutting edge and, consequently, extends the drill's lifespan.
