Professional tool set for setting and locking timing on VAG-group diesel engines with Common Rail.

The kit is intended for service work on selected 1.4 TDI CR, 1.6 TDI CR and 2.0 TDI CR units used in Volkswagen, Audi, SEAT and Škoda vehicles. This configuration of the kit is used when setting and checking timing phases and for work related to removal and installation of the timing belt.

The main advantage of the kit is that it gathers in one case the specialist tools needed to locate the crankshaft, camshaft and high-pressure pump gear and to service the belt tensioner. Proper immobilization of these components allows maintaining the required relative positions of the assemblies during work on the timing drive.

KIT COMPONENTS AND THEIR APPLICATION

Complete crankshaft locking tool

Two-part tool intended to locate and lock the crankshaft in the required position during work on the timing drive.

The kit consists of the main lock mounted at the crank pulley and a mating locating pin.

Counter-holding tool

Robust tool with a ring-shaped working part and pins, designed to hold/counter-hold the high-pressure pump gear. Allows holding the gear during service operations; equipped with a hole for a 1/2" ratchet or extension.

Set of tools for belt and tensioner service

A set of specialist tools used during work on the timing belt, its tensioner and the auxiliary drive belt tensioner.

• Adjustment tool for the tensioner pulley – used to service and set the tensioner pulley during timing belt work.

• Locking tool for the tensioner pulley – intended to lock the tensioner pulley mechanism.

• Pin for locking the auxiliary drive belt tensioner – enables immobilization of the tensioner during the appropriate service procedures.

Complete set in a case

All tools are placed in a moulded plastic carrying case. Each element has a designated place, which helps maintain order, quickly verify set completeness and store the tools between jobs.
